TOMORROW..!!!

"I was fed up with my life and so I decided to end it...so here I am on the railway track and waiting for death..!!!" she was explaining herself and answering her own questions about what she was going to do.

"I was never loved at home for just the reason that I am a girl. Was it my mistake that I wasnt born as the male child who would take care of the family later. Was it my mistake that the society treats girl children as the "Liability" while the other gender as the "Asset". Was it my mistake that I was born in a country where Goddesses are respected but the girl children are killed??" she thought when she remembered how her father never spoke to her in all these years.

"I studied well. I am employed and earn good salary and respect. I am married...but for what reason? Just to work as a servant to the man whom my parents bought for the marriage? Am I given to him along with the money so that he can torture me physically and emotionally?" she thought when she saw her wedding ring.

"Today when some idiots abuse me and throw me on the road, where was he? It never bothered him coz' he thought I was always my parents daughter. But where were my parents?? It never bothered them too...coz' they just believed that I am his wife...but dear God, where do I belong?? To my parents with whom I took my first breath or To my husband with whom I am supposed to live my last breath?" Now tears were all over...she cried her heart out...she never knew that her death was not near...!!!

"Dear God, If you made the rule that Males children rule the world then why did u not tell us that we were just slaves in this world before we were sent here...if u did...we would never have seen those dreams and never have wished to live freely...Why did u not tell us??" She is shouting now..!!

He questions maynot have woke up God...but they did wake the Lineman of the track who was sleeping nearby...He was startled to see the young girl in the torn rags and scratches all over her body. He understood the situation while tears rolled down.

"I am going to come back to you as I fear TOMORROW and life ahead shows no path to me" she was yelling while she heard a noise. She turned to see who it was and found him sitting beside her with a smiling face and loving eyes looking at her.

"Why are you here??" she asked him.
He smiled.
"I see no life ahead, my tomorrow is meaningless. No one loves me. No one bothers if i am alive or dead" she was screaming now.

He smiled and said " I have seen these tracks all my life...from here it seems that they end at a point but when you go there they are still running ahead...I have not yet found the end...such if life darling...Today it feels that its the last day...but there is always a tomorrow...and before we realize that there is none...we are no more...!!"

He said and left...she thought for a while and got off the tracks...!!

It needs a moment to end a life...it also take a similar moment to start a new one too...!!

WEDDING...!!!

"Hey darling" I was surprised to hear those words all over once again after 12 years.

"Hiii" It was louder and deeper that I felt...may be its true that when you love someone so much and dont get to meet them for a long time....even your cannot determine how to react...I realized it then when i met him then.

He is a true darling of my life...my lovely grandpa :)

He brought me up amongst the greenery of the fields and cool breeze crossing from the distant hill tops...playing along the pure stream of water....life was like living a dream in a wonderland.

I had to leave him for my further studies and career which made me live all alone in a distant world for almost 12years...I never got a chance to meet him.

Over time many things changed in my life and today, when I am about to get married,I couldnot miss his presence anymore...so i am here and finally am with him.

"Dadu, I missed you so much..but being away from you i even had learnt so much..."I was lying on his lap living those good old days once again as the same little girl.

"Darling I always wanted you to learn everything in life and that is why i left you that day and till date i have been waiting to see you"

"Dadu, I met him an year back and in two days we are getting married"

"Darling I am so happy for you" he almost jumped from the platform on which we were sitting till then. "Such a great news you tell me now"...he was happy to heavens and the tears of joy came rolling down.

"Dadu, I have no one let in my life except you and him. I wanted to get married at the place where you found me when I was just a day old. He is coming here tomorrow"
His joy multiplied.

The day finally arrived.

I was in the best dress I could ever imagine in my whole life and was walking down the aisle with the most beautiful man in my life to meet my perfect man at the place where I was born and left to the world...Its a dream come true..!!!

CONFUSION..!!!

She was the most beautiful bride ever. She looked amazing in her custom made Wedding gown and the pearl studded crown was holding the light veil gorgeously in place. The room was all decorated with the combination of pink and purple orchids and the air was scented with the best roses. It seemed like a perfect wedding day.

But she was tensed. She was marring her love of life whom she has known for years. But still, today she felt something different. She knew everything shall go well, but something unknown to us was disturbing her. He mom said, every bride has that feeling. Her dad just smiled when she told him.

She was looking out of the window, at the natural beauty but the smile was missing without her notice.

"Darling its time for us to join him" her dad opened the door.

She was not listening. Her dad called twice, but she dint turn back. Suddenly, a little rain drop kissed her cheek and she smiled. Her dad called her again.

She was then confused, whether to dance in the rain or to walk silently along the aisle and marry him. She was confused but decided to join him.

It was a happy wedding.

She did join him but they also danced in the rain as the happy couple.

OATH..!!

I saw him everyday...rather he saw me everyday while on my way to college. His dark eyes never went off me until i board my bus. His ragged clothes turn dirtier each day but he never missed to find me each day. He never changes his place, never his smile.

"Dada why do you keep looking at me everyday??" I asked him one day.
He smiled but was silent.

After a few days, i knew the answer.

Its her daughter I remind him of. She killed herself years ago. She was abused by her 10 years elder brother first when she was just 7 and it continued for years. She bore all the pain but never knew whom to talk about it. One day when he turned as a Devil she couldnot bear the pain any more and the same day, she killed herself.

Her dad, this old man, cant fight his son for his lost daughter nor can he live in a world of such cruelty. He is fighting his life everyday waiting for death.

I was moved. I am lucky that I never faced any horror this way but I decided to be the helping hand to those innocent beings.

Today As I take the Gold medal as a Law Student, I take an oath in his name to save as many daughters as I can.

BEST FRIENDS..!!!

"Mom, why did they move away?" she asked her mom once again holding her favorite photograph.

Nancy was tired of telling her the same story from the past twenty years for some thousand times but Jenny was never tired of listening it.

"Jenny, by now you should get out of this. I know its painful but dear, they left long back and he never even left you a mail"

"Mom, why they move away?" she asked again, now tears filled her beautiful blue eyes and her pink cheeks turned red.

Nancy repeated the same story once again.

"Immy's family and ours was well knit relation where we stood for each other in all joy and sorrow. Until one day, Immy's granny became sick and they had to move to their homeland miles away to take care of her and her property as his mom was the only child."

Jenny knew this story very well and she waited for a message from him since she was five.
Back then she used to ask her mom "Mom, why didnt send me 'best wishes' for my first day school?"........"Mom, why didnt Immy wish me 'Happy Birthday' this year too??'...it went on..!!!

Though they were far apart, their friendship grew with her and she always thought that he also remembered her. she wondered how he would look like.

While the conversation between Nancy and Jenny was going on, there was a knock on the door and Nancy went to see who it was.

When she opened the door, she found no one but there was a bouquet of yellow roses left with a envelope attached. she took the beautiful fresh roses and opened the envelope to check out who it was. As she opened it, her eyes widened and tears of happiness rolled down her cheeks. She was joyous and was finding words to express it.

"Jenny..." she was screaming from the doorway.

Jenny ran down to the living room and saw her mom still standing at the door with her favorite yellow roses.

"Whats it mom?" she asked nearing her.

"This is for you darling. The most special gift that you got in years" Nancy handed over the roses and envelope to her.

Jenny couldnot believer her eyes to see the same photograph and a note signed by Immy within the envelope that read:
Those years spent here
I treasured all life
as it has you
my dear friend

Met many friends
some were good
some were better
'best' you remained

dear, best friend
I can ever have
waiting for you
at the place thats special
to just US

Lets meet
at the sunset
at that place
where our friendship
"BORN"

your friend
Immy

"Wow mom, its him. My best friend. Its a dream of life come true" Jenny was almost crying.

Jenny was all ready before sunset in the most beautiful dress and today she was stunningly beautiful. Her black radiant curls flowing as the cool breeze kissed her pink cheeks, her lips curved for that special smile.

She was waiting for him near the lake behind her home and as the horizon changed colors, as the birds flew back to their nests, as the cool breeze played with her curls, as the water in the lake was dancing at her feet, she was waiting.

As the sun set, she was excited.

"Jenny..." she heard...!!!

"For Her"

Sitting in the crowd, I was waiting for his name to be called. Today is his BIG day for which he was waiting for years. As I saw him sit beside me with his fingers crossed, I flew into the memories lane but a picture in mind caught my attention.

That night I woke up for some water, I saw him sitting there with his black diary on the table with the pen in his hands. I knew that place and that black diary for years but that night it seemed
something special is going on in his mind.

The cool breeze swept in through the window brushing my senses. I was enjoying the weather to the fullest. I wanted to go hug him and say “All the best Jay” but I didn’t. I didn’t want to disturb him. I knotted my long hair, adjusted my sari, went into the kitchen and made him a cup of coffee. The roasted beans filled the home with a sweet aura which I think, even till date, is the best aroma.

“Here it is sweet heart” I said.

He just lifted his head when I found the lines on his forehead disappear and his lips take a cute curve. I always admired his smile.

Months later, when he gave his new story and asked me to read, I was surprised to see the first line which said:
“Here it is sweet heart”
“To announce the winner of the day, I request Mr. Madhukar to do the honor” she announced. Ted was beside me, I suddenly realized that it was his big day where the same story was nominated for “The Booker Prize”, he was catching my hand and waiting for the result.

“And the winner is Mr. Jay Bhagat for the book “For her”…!!!”

Wow, the day is here. His dream has come true. He is definitely the happiest man in the world I can ever be with. Am happy to the fullest.

He kissed my cheek gently and said “Thank you mom for the first line of the story”

JOURNEY CONTINUES...!!!

"All set to leave dear" he asked her as it was time for her to leave to enter a new phase of life that's just about to begin.

"Yes, Dad. we shall leave in other 2 minutes" she assured him from her room.

After the next two minutes, she has come out of her room, hugged her little sister and her mother and turned to her father with the luggage.

"Let's go darling its time" he said taking his part of the luggage and holding her hand in the other.

She wanted to cry but she didn't. This was her first time she is going away from home and is disturbed with the thought that there will none of them with her for the next 2 years as by then she will be completing her studies. She was atleast happy that her father will be coming to drop her at the new place.

With this her journey to be independent started and now after two years, she has learnt a lot in life and had enjoyed the new place and the new people around. She had dreamt new dreams and got all strength to achieve them. But in the meanwhile, the first dream of her, two years back shattered.

She always wanted to go back home after studies and be with her parents in her city but now she has to take a new train to a new place to work with new people. She is happy but somewhere in the corner of her heart, there is emptiness.

Now, sitting in the train for the new place, she is still smiling as she is a step ahead in fulfilling her dreams.

WINNING..!!!

"And the winner is Ms. Jenny Rose" he announced and the whole gathering burst into a great applause.

She was already waiting her fingers crossed while the nominations were read aloud. She was nominated for the World's best poetry awards, "International Poetic Merit Award" given by the International society of poets every year to the World's best poet. She was nominated every year for the last 9 years and this was the 10th time. But till today, the dream wasnt true.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Put your hands together for Mr.Jenny Rose" the anchor calls out.

She was still waiting at her chair unable to believe that she is called and this time not just nomination but she has actually won the award. After a while, when she realized she walked towards the dias to collect the award.

In the black evening gown, she looked at her best. Walking elegantly with her head high trying hard to stop her tears carrying a beautiful smile, she was the most beautiful lady in the gathering. Every eye was looking at her admiring her beauty and cherishing her success. It was like a happy moment to everyone present there.

"Congratulations Jenny. Good job" He wished her while handing over the award.
"Ladies and Gentleman, its Ms. Jenny rose for you" announced the anchor while handing over the mic to her.

"Thank you dear. Thank you everyone for this award...." the list was very big. she thanked almost everyone she knew in life.

After the thank you session, she continued to speak "Now that i hold this award in my hands, I am falling short of words to express my joy. I was sitting there for the last nine years waiting for this moment and today when my dream has come true, I feel I was not prepared."

"I enjoyed writing all my life but today while stand here with this award, the only thing that comes to my mind is the picture that my dad clicked when I was 5 and the first time I took my pen. I dedicate this award to my dad who has been a constant support and my best critic"

"I promise to come back here the next year and get nominated again and I think, I will better be prepared with the speech from the next year as you never know, any day you may win"

"Thank you everyone. Thanks a ton"

See You Again..!!!

“See you again” he said kissed her good bye.

“When?” she enquired.

“What?”

“When will you see me again?”

“When the sun rises but forgets to shine, when water falls from heavens but forget to hide your tears with them, when everyone around you are happy celebrating but you are not” he said and left.

“He left me that day, 5 years ago while promising that he shall meet me but am still waiting” she told me while walking back from the Church on the Christmas eve.

I met her 4 years ago, and I know how much she loves him, she has spent her life since then imagining the moment she shall meet him once again in life. He had some ambitions, some goals to work on and she knew his love to them and had taken the toughest decision ever to let him go and today she is suffering loneliness with even friends around.

“Dear he shall be back very soon, just that you should be at your best when he meets you” I say every time she felt sad about being away from him.

Today, at this moment, I am looking at the most beautiful her as I had ever seen. In fact, I feel she is the most beautiful woman in the world after my mother. Also, I find the weather so nice and I feel some happy vibes caressing my senses and my heart feels today is the day.

While we walk, I see him. I see him standing there with the most beautiful roses and just walking towards us.

“Grace, he is there. He has finally come to see you again” I almost yelled at her.

BROTHER'S LOVE...!!!

The colors of the sky fascinated me. I enjoyed watching the sunrise and admire the sunset. I was always at the same window fancying the birds start and end their day; I enjoyed their sounds, their flight. The view from this window of my room is awesome. I enjoyed it since I was a little girl.

But today, I miss something that excited me even more than the beauty, I miss him. We grew up together enjoying the beauty. We played, we danced, we played, and we lived together since the time unknown. He was a sweet heart and got me everything I asked for. Though he fought with me may a times, now I feel it is out of love that we share. We celebrated life together. We shared life’s most precious moments together. He was there for this little sister always.

I remember one day when mom said, I shall leave this home and him one day to live with someone else and that I shall soon forget him and his love (which was completely wrong), how badly he was hurt. He lifted his head looking at him and I realized that I was actually seeing his tear filled eyes. He just pushed mom aside and ran out the house. I fought with mom for having hurt my sweet brother, I came running to this window crying and waiting for my brother.

I saw him, standing there at the fence and looking at the barren land that stretched to almost all over. I was calling him for so long but he never turned to see. I was tired but was still waiting for him to come back home and play with me.

I suddenly see him turn back and walk towards our home. I was happy and suddenly I realize I was already smiling. He was finally coming back to me and I was waiting for him in my room.

After some time, I saw him at my door with a carton in his hands and he was already walking in.

“Brother, what is it in your hands?”

“Sis, Mom said you shall leave me one day and go somewhere else. There you shall be all alone and you may not find anyone to play. These are some of my favorite toys, take them and play with them.”

“Thank you bro. But still miss you so much then too.” I was already in his arms and tears sliding down my cheeks.

Today is my wedding day. I am actually about to leave everyone and live with someone else very soon. I will miss everything of my life so far especially my dear brother whom I find even now standing at the same fence thinking about how my life shall be from now on.

Mom has already got all my luggage ready that I shall need in the new place, she says there are three bags, but only I know that its’ not three but FOUR..!!!

P.S. This is a work of fiction..!!!

PROMISE..!!!

"Dad…Why did Mamma go to God??" She asked him standing in front of her mother's grave.

He almost broke into tears hearing his five years old little girl ask about her mother.

“Angel, God isn’t good in English no. That’s why mom has gone to teach Him. She is the best teacher in this world to teach Him, so you should be proud of your mother” he was almost dying to stop his tears flowing down.

“Daddy”

“Yes Angel”

“Daddy, God isn’t good with mathematics also. But please promise me that you will not go to teach Him”

He was just looking at her.

“Daddy, I know you are the best Mathematics teacher in the world.”
He found himself crying already.

“Because I can learn English without mom but Daddy, Mathematics is very difficult. The problems are very tough you know.”

“I will not leave my Angel. I promise.”

TRUST--2..!!!

The first part of the story can be found here [link]. please read the first part before proceeding :) else you would never understand the tale so please read the first part..!!!

````After 20 long years````
She woke up today just to make sure that her to-do list which has pending from last three weeks should not be left for the next work.
Carefully reading the Post It stuck on her almirah, she decided to first clean her old things so that the unused can be donated to Goonj(an NGO), India.
While looking through, her eyes fell upon something that broke her broken heart after 20 years. That was the first gift he has given her and today, she didnt understand why it was still with her. She wanted to throw that away but something stopped her.
Music Pleasant
to soul thats lost
bringing back
memories once sweet
The wind chimes, brought his memories to him. The little heart that was hard as rock for all these years, has suddenly broke down. She decided to back to her village the next weekend not to meet him but to meet her parents, her loved ones whom she had left 20 years back because of him. She left to the village next friday.
the early dawn
welcomed her with love
the flying birds
sung the songs of joy
lovely hearts
happy to see her
her parents
overwhelmed with joy
she was happy to see them all again. For 20 years, she has lived a life of an orphan away from her loved ones. She wanted to run away from him, but that made her run away from her life.
After too much time spent with parent, she started to leave back to home as she has lots of work at the office. While she was almost out of their little home, her father asked:
"Beta why dont you meet him once?"
"Papa how can even ask this? He is responsible for us not meeting for 20 years. Why will i ever see him again in my life?"
"Beta, one last time please meet him. This is your father's only request. Will be fine even if you dont come back to us again"
"OK papa. Take me to him. I want to see how he is without me in life."
She along with her mom and dad went to his house which she imagined to be her home for life.
She was astonished to see how the home wasnt changed over years and yes, the chimes that were hanging at the entrance, astonished her.
She quietly walked inside to see him lying there waiting for her.
She broke and he was happy.
LIBRARY...!!!
She got the invitation from him for inaugurating the town's first ever library. She was so happy that she went back to her room, opened the photo collection for her always special photograph and finally found it.
She was an English teacher in a school where children of the poor studied. She was a favorite teacher of almost everyone who studied their. She was special not because of her teaching only, but the special person she is. She took the children of every batch in the school to some place in the city, where they may not go otherwise. Her photo collection is huge and now at 72, her only passtime is to check those photographs and bring those memories back.
She was glancing at the photograph, and knew the dream of the little boy 30 years before today has finally come true and she is invited to open the dream to the whole town.
~~~~~~~~~~30 years earlier~~~~~~~~~~

"Wat are you seeing there dear? Why dont you join your friends?" she asked him who was looking at the other side of the town.

"Ma'm how will it be to have a huge library in our town operating for every one?" he asked her.

She is not surprised hearing a question like that from him. He is one of the bright students of the school and she knew that he would go far ahead in life.

""It would be very good sweet heart." She hugged him and said "this town of ours has every thing that we need but lacks a library. Setting up would be changing the lives of the town and the people living here."

"Teacher, one day, you can see my library from here. I promise." He said and they left home after a long tiring day.

~~~~~~~~~Today~~~~~~~~~~~
"He did it. His dream has come true. In 30 years, many things changed in this town, but there was no library and now, it has one and it's my Student's library for his home town" She wiped the tears of happiness and took out the photograph from the album.
She soon went to a nearby photo studio, got a copy of the photograph and also a photo frame thats very beautiful. She arranged the old photograph into the photo frame and got it gift wrapped.
~~~~~~on the day of the ceremony~~~~~~~~~~

She was ready in the most beautiful dress she could ever imagine herself in and was blushing admiring her own beauty. Suddenly there was a know on the door.

She went to see who it was, but cursing that she would get late. She opened the door to see a man in 40's turned to other side of the door.

"Who is it?" She enquired and he turned to her.
"Good teacher, I hope you remember me." He said. He was the student of her who was there to take her to the library.
"Yes, darling I do. Come in."
" Teacher I am here to take you to the Library. He asked me to get you there. Are you ready?"
" Yeah, I am ready. I have a small packet for him. Will take it and leave she said"

They left home in the next 10 minutes and after 20 minutes they were at the library.
He was waiting for her. He was happy to heavens to see her and ran to the car as it stopped.

As soon as she got down, there was a loud applause. They were all waiting for her to come.
She inaugurated the library and every one were busy checking it out, while she was busy with her old students who joined her.

"Dear, this is for you. A small gift from this old teacher" She said while handing over the packet to him.
He opened it with happiness and was in tears to see the old photograph. He hugged her and she was happy to heavens now.

MY Daughter..!!!

I was walking in the park and met Aman, my college friend. I met him long time back and was very happy to see him there that day. I walked towards him wearing the biggest smile ever.

"Hey Aman, hows you man? remember me?? Its Abhi" I greeted with lots of love.

"Hello Abhi" He replied. There was no smile. The Aman I knew was lost. He was sad, diappointed and in full of grief.

" Hey what happened? Anything wrong? why are you like that?" I asked him and he looked at me with tears rolling down.

Aman I knew was a gem of a person. He knew only to love and everyone loved him too. He worled hard during college and was the topper of our batch. Aman loved a Aayushi and later married her. As far as I knew Aman is special friend to everyone he met in life.

"Abhi, I am in no mood to talk. Let's meet someother day" he said.

Understanding the situation, we exchanged her numbers and I left him there alone.

The next day, I saw him there again in the same mood and same silence. That day, I dint want to leave him there and so went to him and asked him what was wrong.

"Abhi, I know this would come to you as a shock but it the truth" He started to talk after a long time when I forced him to do so.

"As you know Abhi, I am married to Aayushi, the love of my life. We lived together happily and when my little Angel, Akshara came into our life, we were complete. God gave us everything and we were a happy little family closely knit together."

"Akshara was very close to her mom as I was busy with work and had to travel most of the time. Ayushi and Akshara were best friends. They loved each other so much that sometimes I felt jealous of their love and affection"

"But Abhi everything changed when Aayushi left us all alone" Aman broke down. I had never seen him crying and I suddenly realized that my cheeks were wet too.

"Aman what happened to Aayushi?" I asked to know exactly what happened.
"She died of Cancer" He had no words nor did I.

After a long silence "How is Akshara? Who is taking care of her now?" I asked.

"Akshara left me after her mother left us. Akshara got disturbed mentally and one night, she left home searching her mom. She is just 15 and I dont know where she is now. I searched all around but could find her no where" Aman broke again and I could not see him like that.

We spoke to each other for along time about Aayushi's death and Akshara too.

After this incident, we met almost every day and spoke for long hours.

"Abhi I feel better talking to you. I now feel I have someone in this world who shall take care of Akshara when she is back home, in case I am dead too" Aman said which left me in tears.

*********TODAY**********

"Hey Aman. how are you today?" we met in a roadside restaurant where we planned to meet today.
"I am the same old Aman whom you met some days ago in the park. but the only change is that you are with me now" he smiled.

We had a good dinner and thought to walk back home as it was not very far ago from that place. By the way, Aman lives with our family in our home now.

While walking we have been talking about Akshara, he innocence, her childhood, her everything.

While passing over the footbridge, Aman suddenly stopped seeing a girl near the fence and ran to look who she was. He was shouting seeing her.

I thought he was mentally very disturbed having not seen Akshara for a long time. I walked to him and pulled his arm to go back home but he was resisting to come back. I pulled him harder when i heard him murmuring.

"what did you say??" I asked
"Akshara"

My Brother...!!!

"Will Daddy come to take us home?" she asked him with all innocence filled in her voice.

"No dear, he has left us already not to take with him ever" he replied not knowing how to tell her that her parents died in an accident just a couple of days back.
"Then who will take us home bhaiyya? Its already getting dark here. I am scared." she asked him again looking at the dark clouds in the sky.
"Munni, I will take care of you till I am with you. I will take you home. I will get you ready for school and also play with you. So, never again ask about Mom and Dad. OK" he told her hiding his tears.
"Bhaiyya, will you also take care of my Guddi?" She asked innocently showing her favorite teddy in her hands.
"Yes dear. I will" he replied and kissed her.

From that day on, he worked hard to take care of his sister and their old servant took care of both of them. They studied in the same school and lived in the same home for years. Thanks to their parents who left them everything thats needed. Years passed and Munni never asked him about their parents again as she also understood that they are no more.

*********After 20 years, on the graduation day of Munni**************

"Now let us invite the Gold Medalist of our university. Ms.Munni Thiagarajan" the announcement was loud and the applause was louder. He sat in the crowd to see his sweet sister take the medal that she deserved.

He saw her happily walking towards the dias and that was a very special moment for both of them.
But before she took the medal and the degree from the Chief Guest, she took the mic to say something. He was curious and also happy to listen her talking to the crowd.

"Dear friends, Congratultions to all of you, including me for this wonderful journey in life. This day is special to each of us and may be thats the reason that you came here with your parents. But I have come only with my brother. There is a reason for it. 20 years before today, my parents died in a car accident and my brother never told this to me. He asked me to promise that i will never ask him about it. He took all the pain to take care of me. He is a special brother and I am proud that he is my brother." she announced and he was already in tears listening to all these.

"My dad left him and me when we were very young. But still even today I am known as Munni Thiagarajan. On this special day, I would want to change my name as Munni Vishwanathan and also request the management to give the degree to Mr. Vishwanathan, my brother" She requested the chief guest who immediately approved.

Vishwanathan had just tears in his eyes and a smile on his face. He moved proudly to the dias and kissed her again. He took the degree and walked with her back.

Amidst all these, Munni remembered that day when her brother kissed her while promising his life for her. She felt the love even more special today while he kissed her again.

REUNION...!!!

Before you starting to read ma tale...i want to warn you that it is a bit long as i have exactly 777 words tale..!!! Here goes my tale...!!

@@@@@@@@@@REUNION@@@@@@@@@@@

As dawn pierced her rays into her hut, she woke up with the same anxiety as every day. She ran out to check the footbridge and the entire smile had suddenly faded. She went back into her home and started her daily chores. She saw the bridge day and night every now and then, but no one understood what she was looking for.

He is 15years old now and from last 10 years he has been seeing his mom do the same thing every day. She never left their hut. He never understood what actually his mom was searching for. He asked many a times but had no answer in return.

………15 years later……….
She woke up the same way as before and went to check out the footbridge and today the smile dint fade. She was happy as heaven and tears of happiness rolled down her wrinkled old cheeks.

Her son who had just come back from the United States to see his mom who lived in the same old hut even when he earned enough to afford a beautiful home, was surprised to see his mom happy seeing the bridge.

He wanted to know what kept his mom waiting for 25 long years. He joined his mom and could see a lady in her mid forties waiting for someone eagerly.
The footbridge was abandoned years before and a sight of a lady amazed him.
He asked his mom who that lady was and her mom finally sat down to tell him the story.

Dear son, this is a story of me and the people you are going to meet today.

….25 years earlier….

“We shall meet here one day when we prove ourselves to the world that we are no less than many successful people today” Arnav said to the whole of his gang.

Arnav was a part of that group of people who met me every day for four years while in their college. I used to sell some fruits over that bridge when their college started. Over four years there were not enough passengers over that bridge but every day I had customers. That was this group of friends. They came to me even on Sundays when it was a holiday for their college. I love them as much I as love you. They were those young ambitious souls who departed one day promising each other that they shall meet on this footbridge again.

To me friendship means them. They were there fore each other whenever anyone was in need. They teased, they smiled, they laughed, they giggled and sometimes even cried only together. They enjoyed life to the fullest. Amidst all these they planned their careers, they had set their goals, they designed the path they shall move on. They lived happily for four years and so did I.

….Today…..

“Dear son The day they promised to meet again one day on the same foot bridge. The happiness they brought into my life faded. I was happy bringing you up, but even you were the gift of their smiles. They named you Khush and I call you only by that name as they were in your name.” She said with tears.

The lady standing there is definitely Ruchi who is one among the group. This must be the day of reunion. “But mom, how can you recognize that its her and not anyone else?” Khush asked her.

“It’s the white dress she is wearing with a smiley badge pinned to her chest reveals the identity friend. The group’s favorite color is white and each of them owned a smiley batch as the symbol of their group.” she rushed inside, opened a small box that was always locked. She opened it carefully and took out a small white pouch from it. He couldn’t believe himself to see the same badge with his mom.

“Khush, I am a part of that group and today as you can see, is our reunion day” she said happily.
Khush rushed to the nearest mall and got her mom the best white sari her mom can ever imagine and he asked her to get ready instantly and she did the same in little while. He pinned the smiley badge to her sari and took her as if a father taking his daughter bride to her wedding ceremony, to the foot bridge where by now all the group of friends already assembled.

“Your group isn’t really complete without my mom joining it” he announced while all of them turned to see who it was.

That was the moment to be scribbled in their lives as the epitome of happiness.

LONG LOST FRIEND...!!!

She was busy arranging her home on her weekend. She was planning to rearrange her home sine a long time but today, she finally set to do it. While she was emptying the old cartons, her hands went over to an old album of her childhood memories.

She sat there flipping the photographs and recollecting her memories. But at the back of her mind, she was searching for a photograph f her long lost friend. To her dismay, she couldn’t find it. She again started to work with the other cartons where an envelope suddenly flew off from the pile of papers.

She consciously picked the envelop to check what it was and was astonished to see it on her name and is still unopened. She, sitting in the couch, opened it to find the photograph that she was searching for with a little tag attached to it which said:

“Dear, I love you for what you are and not what you want to be. Though I am leaving you today, my wishes shall always be with you. One day I shall certainly meet you but today, I have to leave. Bye friend.”

She could just find herself crying after reading the note. She was waiting for her long lost friend since last ten years and today she finds a letter left to her ten years back by the same friend.

As she sat there crying, he entered home with lovely bouquet of flowers expecting her cleaning the rooms. He is now her dearest friend whom she met a couple of years bac in college and he was her support in this world where she had no one else. Her parents died in a plane crash four years ago and since then she is all alone when this friend gave her a little hope to live.

Seeing her cry, he almost ran to her.
“What happened sweety? Why are you crying?”
She told him the story of her friend Immy and she passed on the envelop to him along with the photograph. The sight of the photograph astonished him.
“Who gave you this photograph? Please let me know, I want to see her.” he asked her anxiously.

“This is my photograph John. How do you know about this photograph?” She looked at him puzzled not knowing how he knows about the photograph.

“How can this be yours Jones? This is Annie’s photograph. I sent this to her.”
She almost couldn’t believer both her eyes and ears.

“Mr.John, I don’t understand how you got this photograph but it is in the right hands now. I am Annie, Annie Jones.”

“What? I cant believe this Jones. In the last three years, I never thought of even asking your first name. Neither did you bother to. Ms. Annie Jones, I am your long lost friend. I am Immy, Immy Johnson.”

**********************************************************************************

I dedicate this tale to OCTAVES, my best friends. To meet them I am waiting from sometime back which to me seems to be like ages. I miss Octaves very badly...!!!

As of the tale, I dint know how to end it. So am leaving it here. I think I am satisfied with Immy n Annie meeting again, rather than giving the tale an end, as their eternal friendship shall never end, so shall my tale..!!!

HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY to all the visitors of the Land of Dreams...!!!

OLD HOME...!!!

She was on a holiday to the place where she was born and brought up, after seven years. She had to leave that place since her had was in debt and had to sell their home. They had no place to stay and hence left the city looking for shelter.

She had enough money today that she wanted to buy her home back which the memories of her father who left her just an year back.

While walking through the street of her old home and the sight of the bicycle parked on the side brought her tears of her lifetime.

She remembered how her dad took her to the meadows on the same bicycle and how they had fun together. Having no one else in the world except her dad, he was her "world". But today, her world left her. She is here to get back those memories forever and ever.

Wiping her tears she entered that beautiful building to find elderly men and women all around. She soon found a young girl sitting at a corner desk busily working with her papers. She approached her to inquire about the owners.

"Excuse me."
"How may I help you ma'm?"
"I wanted to know about the owners of this place. i am interested to buy it."
"I fear you can't do that ma'm. The man who own this expired an year back and wrote the authority of this place to this trust. Also ma'm, he many elderly citizens live here in peace. Please don't disturb them."
"Can I atleast take the bicycle that's parked infront of this building?"
"I fear, you can't too ma'm. The only request that old man made before he was dead was not to take that bicycle from that place at anytime."
"May I know the reason? If you don't mind?"
"Ma'm he says his daughter loves that bicycle to be placed only there."

She suddenly couldn't believe her own ears. Tears rolling down...she asked the young lady if she can see the Old Man's Picture and the she get it for her.

Its her Dad...and the trust is on her name....!!

Instead of buying her old home, she adopted the whole home and continued to stay there along with others. But a question never left her mind.

"Why dint Dad tell this to me?"

TOGETHER...!!!

"where are we going?" she asked him.
"We are almost there. You shall soon know" he said smiling at her blindfold.
They got down the car and he took her to the place where he first saw her and unfolded her blindfold and he was on his knees when she saw him.
"I LOVE YOU darling. Will you be with me forever?" he asked her.
She knew she could never say no.
"YES" she said with tears already rolling down.
As the docks stood there, they promised to live together forever.
