I WANT TO BE FREE...!!!

I want to be free
like the little flowers
blooming happily
to be the best beauty...!!!

I want to be free
like the green leaves
dancing with joy
in the cool breeze...!!!

I want to be free
like the tiny fish
swimming all the way
in my special world...!!!

I want to be free
like the little bird
flying up above
to the highest heights...!!!

I want to be free
be the true sign
of freedom, of liberty
but i am not...!!!

I am caged
between traditions
amidst rules
my wings are locked..!!!

WHY???

“I cant understand you…”
Thought my parents
When I had my own views
To lead my life in my way

“Why don’t they understand me?”
I thought my self
When my parents didn’t agree
With my dreams for my life

When I fought with my little sister
For something very silly
My parents yelled at me saying
“Act as a grown up. You are not a child”

When I told a feeling about a topic
Or some opinion about a discussion
The same parents told me
“You don’t know. You are a child.”

As a pebble can create ripples
In that still water
These words created a disturbance asking
“Am I a child or had I grown up?”

I feel I know myself
My feelings, my thoughts
All are for my own life
For which only I am responsible

I love to live myself
With my dreams, with my hopes
To make them come true
But WHY DON’T THEY LET ME DO???

FREEDOM...HUH NO CHANCE...!!!

The drop of rain was all free
Before it fell into the shell
The whole world was shut
But it turned into a beautiful pearl

It was happy when it was taken out
When it was made free again
But then we wove them with the thread
Purging all the freedom again

It wants to be free
But it can never be

The same is life too

We were free as a soul
Before we dropped in our mother’s womb
Everything was dark there
But still we took a beautiful shape

We thought we were free
When we first stepped into this world
But we are tied in the knots of societal affairs
And so we are never free from then

We want to be free
But we can never be
