every parent's dream
begun when a child is born
euphoria years away
a simple thought brings in a smile
"Graduation Day"- a feeling of pride

To me, peak of success
to the pillars of my life
a joyful event, most awaited
realizing the glorious thrill
of a dream come true
as I stand in "The" Black Robe
their eyes turn moist
I just smile with tears too

Graduation is a hard earned goal
head held high, best smile I wear
I walk the climax of the goal
my parents watching me
cloud nine, I truly experience
graduation day, a dream come true
of every student, every parent
so does mine...yippies...!!!

Graduation, a day when you realize that you have achieved something..may be a goal.
Graduation, a day when you feel that you lived the best...may be a dream.
Graduation, a day when you wear something best...may be a smile.
Graduation, a day when you make someone happy...may your parents, may be your teacher..!!!

The moment I wore my black robe..I felt the sense of achievement. I could sense my mom having tears. I could see my dad's smile..wow..it was the day when i was happy to heavens. That moment, I wish to write with the silver pen and mend with the golden words in the diaries of my life...!!

22 Jan 2012, my graduation day...!!

I met my friends, who were my family for 2 years during my stay in Pune. They are living their dream too...we were all happy as ever. I met my teachers, who were happy to see us graduate. I met my inspiration, Bala sir, a man who inspires everyone who meets him some or the other way..!! Wow...My graduation day was the best...with my parents, husband, friends, teachers and Bala sir joined in..!!

I dedicate this post and also my graduation to my parents who dreamt this day when i was born and to my teachers, specially Bala sir for helping me live their dream..!! Thank you every one..!!!

To PRAMS..!!!

This post is indeed a special one to me...coz' my first inspiration to blog has completed her 600 posts and is celebrating...so, here i am sharing my part of the celebrations too..!!
before i start of with the post, i must tell you where to really congratulate her..she is known in the blogger world as Being Pramoda [link] but to me she is my dear cousin...whom i admire adore and love more than my real sister. Di, you are the best sister in the world.

so having said that, here goes my post---

I still remember the first time we had a conversation about blogs. Then i dindt know anything about except that i read about them in a newspaper article just a day before. The first time we spoke about them, i was really interested. I felt this is where i can show that world that i can write. she told me her blog link and i started reading her. I got to more about the Pramoda whom i knew not before...i was impressed and started a blog of my own and what happened later is all history now. I look back now and find that its already 4yrs in this blogger world..!!

She is a true inspiration for me to write. I dont know where she get the energy to write after the long day work but she does it with full passion. Pramoda as i know her is true through her pen. She lives herself through every word.

Friends...the only people in the world who understand the true person you are and when you try to be someone else, they can read that too :)...!!

Friends...whom you love so much that sometimes you even fight with parents and dear ones...but never know the REASON that you love them so much...!!

Friends...most adorable creatures..!!!

On this friendship day, I wonder who my special buddies are??

Are they my childhood friends?? who have known me for almost 20yrs and have been with me all the way long...they have actually shown me what FRIENDSHIP actually is..!! To us friendship is not solving each others problems...but when we meet we tease each other...to us friendship is all about laughing and teasing and enjoying...we may have many problems but when we are together we forget the rest of the world...!!! Are they my special friends??

Are the special buddies ...OCTAVES?? who have been my friends since six years and have been with me in every problem I faced...who have built in me the confidence to face Life and live it Queen size...!!! Octaves till date have been those friends who knew the true ME...they know what I do, think and believe...may be my parents also do not know me better than Octaves do..!! I sometimes feels, they are my friends for life...but are they the special buddies I am in search of??

Or are they my Pune friends??? who had shown me life in completely different way and have been with me like a family for two long years away from home...!! Pune friends have definitely shown me a new phase of life which I dint even know that it existed...they were the shoulder for me when i wanted to cry..and a hug to celebrate my smile was always there...so are they the special buddies??


I think each of them have their own special place in my life and if I want to compare them, I may kill myself before getting the right answer...!!

F.R.I.E.N.D.S are always special in every part of life...so on this Friendship day, I dedicate this post to every friend of my life whom I respect, adore and love to the fullest :)

MARRIAGE SEASON..!!!

A happy time for me…first reason,am back home. Its always great to be back home…!!!

The next is…its marriage time…no no not mine but my friends’. OMG…we never had so many wedding cards at a time in our home…everyday someone or the other friend or relative or an aquaintance is getting married…the whole family is too busy these days..!!

The marriages for which I am too happy about are coming this weekend…my two childhood friends are getting married on the 21^st and 22^nd..!!

Shanis and Swetha…my two childhood buddies are getting married. I have known them for almost 18 years now. We used to sit on the same bench for years, they are my sweetest and oldest friends. We learnt counting, hand writing, etc together and we enjoyed.

Shanis was too good in science. She helped me do my science home work while Swetha was good in everything specially Telugu…yeah I was bad in Telugu…I could say Swetha is my favorite Telugu teacher…!!

So you must be wondering what did I teach them…I taught them handwriting…yeah I was (am) good at that. I remember how they used to help me with the mat tables which I don’t know till date. Every memory of my childhood had these two special friends of mine..!!

So this May, my most beautiful friends are getting married…ofcourse to two different people…!! As they join the wedlock with their better halves, I wish them all the success and best time together through my Land of Dreams..!!!

ANOTHER PHASE OF LIFE..!!!

Its not believable that its already 2 years that I completed my graduation and called myself "Yamini Meduri-B.Tech". Life has been completely different these two years.

I celebrated each joy
I played with colors more often
I laughed crazily
I cried for li'l reasons
I danced with joy
I celebrated life

Midnight coffees
Early morning idlis
Trying every cuisine
yet, cooking by self

Working whole night
and all day too
no sleep, yet still active
team was the inspiration

Walk @ 2 a.m.
playing UNO till 4 a.m.
making coffee @ 1 a.m.
sleeping till 12 noon

it was a life
different forever
will miss it
forever and ever

Pune was my home for two complete years, whre i was being "ME". No restrictions,no rules. I was enjoying life. Got some precious friends and had some weird ones too..but it was a learning each day...!!!

Life there taught me to take care of my"self" so that anytime in life, I can face it with courage.

Its 2 yrs already and now, its time to go back to my home (Hyderabad) and start another phase of life...!!

Wowie...everytime I write something for my Land of Dreams, I felt proud about my pen. Everytime I saw someone following the Land of Dreams, I felt happy. Everytime I dreamt here, I felt special..!!!

501. CELEBRATIONS OF 500th DREAM...!!

Wow…The Land of Dreams is 500 posts old now…time for celebration..and I did…!!!

The best part of the 500th post [link] is the day it is posted. Dec 5th 2010, Its my mom’s birthday so very special to me. Though am away from her, I can feel her presence all around. She is the sweetest mother in the world and I love her to the best..!!!

The second best part is the author of the post, Leo aka Vinay[link], who is not only a very good writer and one of my best friends, but also a person whom I adore and depend on when in need.

The third best part is it was this week that my prompt was posted on One Single Impression [link] and have many poets from all around the world submitting their work. Many of whom wished my mom on her birthday through OSI. Thanks to OSI.

The fourth best part is it was that day when I attended the 25th Pune International Marathon for the first time. Though I didn’t run, I had fun.

The fifth best part is the end of the day, when I had a great dinner with one of my very good friends in Pune, Anusha Varshney. She made the day complete..!!!

So the fifth of December 2010, I had enjoyed five best things..!!!

The day was not only a happy one with friends and the world around, but it also taught me some lessons that I shall treasure for life..!!!

1. When you are hurt, let someone know. Speak to someone who is ready to hear you. You will feel good.

2. It is worth all the fun to wake up early in the morning and spend time with friends on a weekend and definitely life is all happy when you are out of home on a weekend.

3. Never lose hope, fight for what you deserve but in a right way. After you get what you are fighting for, you shall treasure it all your life not coz’ its special, coz’ you fought to get it.

4. Have fun in life. Never bother what others around you shall think. They are least bothered who you are and you may not meet them again in life.

5. Enjoy the nature’s beauty when many others are still sleeping. It is pleasant to see a sunrise on a winter morning while its rays kiss you through the cool fog.

Life is all about celebrating it. It is not about who you celebrate it with or how you celebrate it. It is all about how happy you are and how big your smile is. It is about who you are and how happy you want to be.

498th Dream...!!!

Wow..its the 498th post and i have no clue what am i write here..!!!

It has been two long years of blogging and still find its still very new to me. I had started blogging in 2008 and now, its a time to celebrate..!!!

It is definitely a special post to me where I can say lot many things without any second thought..and yeah i would like to dedicate this post to every visitor of the Land of dreams..!!

Blogging has been my favorite time pass as it was my space where i can be me and where i can celebrate being me. It has always been special to write but, through a blog, it was not just about writing..its more about sharing..and i know it has worked miracles..!!!

My blog has not only improved my writing but also showered on me some wonderful friends. Not only friends, my land of dreams had connected me to some of my family members whom I never met as they were far away..!!! I definitely met some wonderful people who are not only special as writers but also as great people..!!! I love to talk to them, hear from them..and above all, to know them..!!!

The Land of Dreams, celebrates 500th post and its gonna be a great day as its my Mom's birthday too...!!!

so wishing my mom a very happy birthday well in advance...I thank all the dreamers here for being with me all while long and want them to be with me forever and ever..!!!

As a mark of 300 dreams, I decided to change my Pen name...its not because Yamini Meduri was not good....its obviously the best....but just for a change....!!

After 300 dreams, each dream is special so here comes my new pen name...am now Ms.Meduri..!!!

Ms. Meduri will help me write as often as I can...with special dreams, making this Land of Dreams still more special..!!!
